Journal is now Friends-Only. So add me as a friend, and if I feel like it, I'll add you back.
Which means I'll more than likely add you back.
Also, I realize that there are a lot of entries that are not yet Friends-Only...they will be eventually.

Russ got troughed!
I saw a real, live, WILD frog today! It was amazing.
Dalton needs to die...he actually made me cry today. but only Shasta knows that...and good ol' Shasta, she just went on cribbing like nothing had happened. Good to know that some things don't change.
Shasta's a little angel...she had a little (7-year-oldish) kid on her, and Shasta did amazingly! she didn't eat (much) and was completely unfazed by the fact that the kid was kinda scared and didn't know what she was doing. I'm so proud of my (other) mare!

Went to see Jesus Christ Superstar. Good? not so much. I couldn't understand it. I'm guessing it's because it's a 60's play, and thus rather hippie-ish, and I didn't get it. Not something I need to see again.
However, the pit was awesome. There were some AMAZING oboe solos...I would love to be part of that pit. It did, however, make me miss concert season. I miss playing with other people. It gets lonely in my bathroom.
Thank God I'll be in Montana SOON. I need it.

Yesterday!
MILE HIGH NATIONALS! OMG, amazing as usual. There were flames. The random pre-pro stuff was uninteresting as usual, but again, I love the pro-bikes. They are awesome, because you can barely tell that there are people on them, they are bent so low. I'd love to ride one.
Stock cars are lame.
Funny cars! Good fun. One rolled, but it was cool. And at night, they flame. Nitro is amazing. And apparently, Kenny Berenstein now drives a funny car.
Top Fuel DRAGSTERS! Are officially still the most amazing thing ever. The day run was ok, nothing big. The night run was so awesome. No new records, but they were faster than usual (running in the 320's as opposed to the 310's). It rained for about 5 minutes, so a bunch of people left, which was nice. Then the last ones, one of them almost flipped over, and the last round, a new top qualifier! Melanie Troxel. I'm officially going to follow her more closely from now on. Brandon Berenstein didn't do as well as he usually does. Ah well. The fireworks were so scary...only because the wind was blowing them, so they exploded about 15 feet above my head. I was afgraid I would get burnt, and I kept getting stuff in my eyes.
I've probably taken up to a year off of my life yesterday...since whenever I was sitting in the stands, I was breathing in secondhand cigarette smoke, and I'd watch them run the cars, and that nitromethane 90% fuel? Not so good for the lungs. It burns...it's painful.
Basically, I LOVE drag racing.
and my camera came!
Today:
Rode Nugget for Liberty, and he, being Red Liberty, didn't really have brakes. It was fun, though! We did some good jumps. He's fast.

I really hate Dalton.

So several good things today:
I only have one person mad at me now! YAY!
I made $40 today. And I think Russ still owes me $15.
I officially have enough to pay my mom for my camera, as of today.
Shasta and I went swimming! It was awesome. She was up to her withers in the water...and I got wet, because she's a little short, and I was sitting on top of her (in a ball kinda) and it was so much fun! I must go again when it's warmer outside.
And I got to ride in the rain!
And Shasta and I flew, because Brittany (and Henry) and I (and Shasta) were catching up to everybody else...it was awesome. I heart her.
And supposedly, I'm going to get hit on tomorrow. According to Cain, there's a guy who hits on every girl there. I had to work really hard not to burst out laughing, because guys DON'T hit on me. Sorry, it just doesn't happen. Although I could always tell him that I've got a boyfriend...he doesn't know that I don't.

I have a song obsession. It's called Love and Memories.
Curtiss was fun tonight. He bridled ok, not great, but not horrible. We rode point and 2-2. Point was point, and 2-2 was ok. He only nearly threw me once, maybe twice. A definite improvement.
I am so looking forward to the show. There's a slight possibility that I might have Summer. I smell like her, as always.
And Summer, Curtiss, and Cheyenne all need to learn that phones (and pockets) aren't edible.
Cheyenne followed me because she thought I had treats. It was amusing.

I saw Fiona at the mall! Woot. I could stalk her now, but that might offend Robin. So she can be an occasional stalkee.
And she was the first person to have my phone number. Yes, I now have a cell phone. Woot? Or something. IM me if you want the number.

Highlight of week: Seeing Kristel!!!!!!
Lowlight of week: fighting with parents over TV movie. And two freaking hours of solitaire. Then one game of ERS, which I only won because I was pissed off. I can only take so much of that game before...
Other lowlight: coming home to a house that's 80 freaking degrees.
Highlight: lots of ongoing sleepovers with Emma!
lowlight: it got cold.
highlight: riding! Man, Ambrosia goes freaking fast. She's small, so she was bouncy at a full-on lope...but still fun.
lowlight: over too soon...the riding, that is.
Highlight: finishing Puzzle from Hell.
lowlight: too little time with Kirstel, and no amazing board games with her and Darin and others.
Highlight: Fireworks! and bats.
Lowlight: Mosquitoes.
So yeah. My week in a nutshell. Despite the lack of A/C, I'm glad to be home. I can only stand being cooped up with my parents in a small room for so long.

So Curtiss didn't do wonderfully tonight, but that's ok. We rode 2-2 and AM, and 2-2 was scary but AMAZING! That drill was so freaking fast...gives new meaning to "run straight into the ground" Curtiss nearly tossed me several times, but I stayed on! It was cool. One of the best positions I've ridden...since he was being a butt, we were unable to get into propeller, so we ended up following the outside...which means we basically flew. It was awesome.
I smell like Summer.

So I've gotten another person mad at me...it was his fault, though. Tell me, is it logical to take a piece of tack (breast collar) from somebody's personal saddle that was purchased and owned by them, without asking the owner of the tack? I don't think so...
But whatever. Kenneth is a jerk to begin with. Stupid bull riders.
In other news, my cousin is so amazing. She sent me a box of TRADER JOE'S TRIPLE GINGER SNAPS!!!!!!!! These things are seriously sent from God, they are so amazing.
She also sent me some books, which are amazing too, but not as much as the ginger snaps are.

rawr. I need to stop getting people mad at me. It's rather annoying.

It's way too hot outside for us to not have A/C.

Squeeeeee! I got to ride Summer today! We did Liberty...and we did really well! Pat said we did the best jump she's seen out of me...woot!
And her bridle got mixed up with another one...oops. Not my fault, though.
But it was Summer! Yay!
In other news, I miss Chicago. Especially the baseball games, and basically, my all-around summer experience there.

Ringo is kinda funny...he freaks out if you override his trail horse auto-pilot mode...like stopping him on the trail...it's kinda funny. You can see his brain go, "OMG, you're making me do something that's not following another horse...or following a trail...WHAT DO I DO?"

Mmm...Shasta is pretty cool...
Ace Bandages are love, seriously.

So Retard (i.e. Radar) stepped on me today...and I don't mean he just stepped on my toes, I'd be fine with that, because it happens all the time. No. The retard had to step on the outside of my left ankle...I'm surprised he didn't break it. It hurt...most painful horse-related injury.
And guess what? I took out a ride anyway...and made $10. Woot? sure.
And another question...are all guys jerks? Because it sure seems like it.
Posted on Tuesday, 2007.26.06 at 10:05
Curtiss did amazingly today! He didn't spook at anything...I even walked him over a tarp! He didn't do so well with the bridle, but we worked on that.
And I've determined several things:
Curtiss is a 9 year old Mustang captured in California, and he's a gruillo, which is kinda a brown/black/yellowish color. Really pretty.

I think my contacts are too weak...which wouldn't surprise me, because I've had the same perscription of them for, like, 8 months...probably more. And yes, I could tell my mom, but she'd just get mad at me, because she just bought two new boxes...which means 12 weeks before I can get new ones, unless there's some way she can take them back, which might not be likely.
And contacts aren't exactly cheap, even with my mom's employee discount.
This sucks.

Yay!
So the highlight of my day was seeing Fiona at Old Chicago...except it made me guard-sick. Like homesick, except I don't miss my home, I miss the guard. Last year's guard, back when we were all best friends, and all drama was virtually non-existent. The guard pre-Uriah.
I want that back, but I also like right now.
